Co-creating New Laundry Experience for Midea
Winter design school
Client: Midea & Jiangnan University, China

This one week winter design school was made for 24 design professionals from Midea and 23 master students from the Design School of Jiangnan University. The theme was "transition in caring about my clothes".

Together with other 2 design researchers from TU Delft, the Netherlands, we tailored and coached a mix of interactive lectures, short exercises and a real-case design process. We want to offer the participants a pressure cooker environment to become familiar with the tools and techniques of contextual research.

The success of the workshop emerged from the design results: participants surprised themselves with the fresh, new perspectives they discovered, and the design spaces that were opened up by these insights. The company harvested concrete design solutions to be developed into products and services.
